Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers
The Massachusetts Society
of Professional Engineers (MSPE) is the state society of engineering
professionals from all disciplines that promotes the ethical and competent
practice of engineering, licensure, collegiality, and respect for
the profession. It is a chapter of the National Society of Professional
Engineers (NSPE), the only engineering society that represents individual
engineers across all disciplines. MSPE members are qualified Engineers
and Engineers-in-Training and the society is devoted exclusively to
the non-technical problems of all engineers regardless of employment
or engineering discipline. MSPE encourages effective working elements
at three levels of the engineers' interest: the local community, the
state, and the nation. MSPE is governed by democratic principles and
directed by the wishes of individual members, expressed through local
representation to the State Society.
MSPE Members benefit from:
- Networking
- Career Advancement
- Education
- Professional Growth
- Advocacy and Public Relations
- Information
- Products and Services
Professional Engineers have taken the extra step to become licensed in the state of Massachusetts although it is not required by law in many circumstances. Professional Engineers put in additional hours of training, spend additional money and subject themselves to state licensing regulations to maintain their professional licenses.
