ACEC/MA Environmental Affairs Committee(EAC) Meeting Co-Chair Contact: Joe Freeman at (508) 903-2050 or joe.freeman@tetratech.com The August 11 meeting features a presentation by Frederick Civian, MassDEP's Stormwater Coordinator. He is responsible for reducing pollution carried by stormwater in Massachusetts. Mr. Civian had a key role in development and implementation of the 2008 revisions to the State Wetlands Program’s Stormwater Standards and works to harmonize and improve current and proposed federal, state and local stormwater rules. He will provide an update on the status of USEPA’s proposed Residual Designation Authority (RDA) permit for Bellingham, Milford and Franklin, how that proposal would affect private and public landowners in those 3 Towns, and the role that proposed permit would play in reducing pollution into the Charles River. The EAC will also discuss, as time allows, the preparation of the annual committee work plan for the upcoming year. Pleaseemail joe.freeman@tetratech.com if you plan to attend.
