In 2009, MassDOT issued its Working Draft of the LRFD Bridge Manual.  The intent was to have designers use it to get feedback on the design guidelines, flush out any ambiguities that needed clarification, and find what additional guidelines were required for design situations that were not adequately covered in the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.  Now, as MassDOT finalizes its LRFD Bridge Manual, Alex Bardow will go over some of the changes that the First Edition will contain.  Some of the topics that Alex will cover include:  sidewalk live load distribution, seismic design, integral abutments and NEXT Beam.
