Feeley & Driscoll 2007 Annual Financial Review of TEC Massachusetts Board of Registration Changes the 20-Year RuleIn mid-April, the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors announced that the changes to 250 CMR, Section 3.04 took effect as of March 23, 2007 and were officially posted on the Board's website as of April 11, 2007. These changes relate to the so called "20-Year Rule." In summary, under the changes, candidates applying for a PE or PLS license after 20 years of work in the profession will now need to take the PE or PLS written exam to become licensed. The Board can waive the requirement that a candidate take the EIT or SIT written exam, if the Board determines that the candidate has sufficient experience. Please read 250 CMR, Section 3.04 for complete details on these changes |
