The Rossiter Family Scholarship, made available through the generosity of Allen and Selina Rossiter, supports our mission by providing assistance to Massachusetts students to pursue higher education in the engineering field. The Rossiter Family Scholarship is offered for the benefit of women and minority students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in civil or environmental engineering. This scholarship has a total value of $12,000 which will be awarded to one eligible student this year.

Eligibility
To be eligible for The Rossiter Family Scholarship you must be a women or racial or ethnic minority (e.g.: African-American or Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander) student currently enrolled in an ABET accredited undergraduate or graduate program in civil or environmental engineering. Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate sophomore or higher. Applicants must be residents of Massachusetts and attend a college or university in Massachusetts.
How to Apply
Paper and online applications are available and can be accessed by clicking the links above. Paper applications can be submitted using the instructions below. Assemble the application in the following order. Do not staple or use a report binder.
- Completed Scholarship Application Form (the application is a fillable form)
- Two Recommendations
– One letter of recommendation must be from a professor.
– The second letter of recommendation may be from anyone you choose, such as an advisor or employer. - One copy of Official University Transcript
- Essay (maximum 2 pages, see page 2 of the Application Form for details)
- One statement of financial need (maximum 1 page, see page 2 of the Application Form for details)
