During the summer of 2011, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will replace 14 deteriorated bridge superstructures on Interstate 93 in the city of Medford, MA. The superstructure replacements that are the core of the 93 Fast 14 project will take place on weekends in June, July and August (except for the 4th of July). This plan avoids impacting weekday rush-hour traffic.
MassDOT is committed to providing safe and durable replacement bridges. The project has been developed by the Accelerated Bridge Program to result in the fewest construction-related impacts on traffic, businesses, residents and tourism.
This preliminary website at http://www.93fast14.com/ will be replaced by a site with many helpful features, including an interactive map to help residents, visitors and businesses plan travel during construction; detour maps for local and regional travel; and links to live traffic cameras, videos and photos of the construction.
Email 93Fast14.email@example.com to send MassDOT your email to sign up for future information about the project.
Connect to Mass 511 to create a cell phone or email account for real-time traffic information.
